Every now and then our customers ask us about the “lingo” the sewer and drain technicians use. One of the word that is used alot is “flushing” the line. What does it mean? Why does the line need to be flushed?

Flushing the line is simply to use the power of water to “flush” away the stoppage. Now keep in mind this “flushing” will not work for roots at all. If the stoppage is grease or muck, the regular machines will have trouble unclogging the line. Why? We’ll, thats because the blade on the sewer machine spins right through the stoppage and the stoppage does not even move. The situation can get worse if the sewer pipe is back pitched.
Small flush bags are available from different places and can help in unclogging a line clogged with grease or muck. Here is a  link which will show you more about flush bags.
