THE COST TO UNCLOG ANY ONE SEWER OR DRAIN IS $49.95!
Many customers are amazed when we tell them our price right over the phone. They always wonder why their previous sewer guy had to come take a look at the drain before he ever gave a price and the bad part was that the previous service they used, kept increasing the price for the same drain that was done by them last time.
At A$49.95 Any Sewer or Drain, Inc. our name is our price, we know what we have to do when a customer calls and complains about a sewer back up or a sink clog or a toilet clog or a vanity sink clog. We have been unclogging sewers and drains for many years and there should not be any need to “quote” a price until or unless the job is beyond a normal cleaning process. With thousands of jobs that we perform every month, we hardly see any job that requires a quote, infact our customers have a check written out for us before we walk in their house because they know how much they have to pay even before we start the job, you guessed it, $49.95.
We have started the trend of having set prices for sewer and drain cleaning services. These days there are a few other companies that basically have copied us and portray themselves as “Any Sewer or Drain”. Please look for the yellow splash on our white trucks for the Original $49.95 Any Sewer or Drain. Even if you do get to use the imitators make sure you pay $49.95 for any one sewer or drain.

Sewer flies are small in size and have their wings pointing upwards. They multiply in a moist area and usually grow quickly in an area backed up with sewer water. Sewer flies do not transfer diseases as they do not bite, but they may transfer bacteria that is on their bodies. It is a good idea to wear a mask when walking in an area with sewer flies. It may sound funny but the sewer flies try to go into your mouth, this may not be written in text books but it is a first hand experience that is talking
.
It is very important to get rid of a sewer back up as along with dealing with the sewer water smell, you will also have to deal with possible breeding of sewer flies. Many people might see sewer flies even though they do not have a sewer back up. This is possibly due to loose sewer caps. The sewer flies might be breeding in your main trap, if your sewer caps are not tightly placed onto your main trap, the flies can fly out of the loose area of the caps.
We have seen the sewer flies in kitchen sink drains as-well, so it is not a certain thing that sewer flies will only breed in sewer water. The sewer flies breed when the water is backed for a few days and the backed up water starts to turn “murky“. You can try to use any regular insect killing spray to get rid of the sewer flies but if the spraying does not work, you will have to locate the source of the flies. The source will more than likely be a sewer or drain trap. If you need help locating your sewer trap, we are here to help. You can write us an E-mail with your situation and we will give you a free advice.

There are many reasons why a sewer or a toilet line can get clogged and YES tampons do clog toilets and sewers. Most of the time our customers are more than interested in knowing what exactly clogged their sewer line. Clogs such as roots, napkins, paper towels and tampons wrap around the sewer cleaning cable and customers see it themselves. Many customers bring up point, “these wipes are flushable” or “these tampons are flushable”. We do not doubt the intention of the manufacturers but the fact is that flushable wipes and tampons do cause sewer clogs.
Though there are variety of tampon related products on the market, recently one outstanding product was brought to our attention called SCENSIBLES. Upon seeking further details about the product we found it to be a good additional option for our customers.Using this product can give you an additional option to dispose tampons.
SCENSIBLES are personal size biodegradable plastic bags with a pleasant fresh scent, contemporary design, tie handle closure and built in antimicrobial agents to inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria. The bags are dispensed from a refillable units that mount to the stall partition in any size restroom. They provide an easy and clean alternative to flushing tampons as well as other feminine care products down the toilet.
The Company co-founded by Ann Germanow and her husband John Germanow. According to Ann, “my inspiration occurred several years ago in the female restroom in my workplace. One day a sign appeared, “Ladies: Do not flush tampons down the toilet-we can not afford the plumbing bills!”. The alternative disposal method found in most female public restrooms, metal or plastic disposal units attached to the partition walls, are unsightly, malodorous and germ-contaminated. This was unacceptable to me and I knew there had to be a better way! After conducting extensive market research and product development, SCENSIBLES®; single-use scented feminine hygiene disposal bags, were created.”
Ann gives further detail about her very first client, “Our very first customer for SCENSIBLES was a local property management group. They immediately recognized the potential benefit for their properties; as they had recently spent over $5000.00 to repair the plumbing system in a medical office building. The culprit-TAMPONS-which (as I’m sure you are aware) swell to 10x their size and often get stuck on rough inside surfaces of pipes! As the Property Manager soon reported “I see the bags are being used, so the way I look at it, every tampon not flushed is a success story!” Since installing SCENSIBLES in all their properties over three years, they have not had one clog caused by tampons. Since 2005 we have sold SCENSIBLES to commercial, public, recreational, educational, retail and institutional facilities across the country. Recently we introduced new consumer packages of SCENSIBLES for home-use. Currently the boxes (containing 50 bags) are available only on-line.”

That is right, the rats do get into sewer lines. Every once in a while we do run into sewer clogs that were caused by sewer rats. Last week one of our mechanics pulled out a rat instead of a tree roots! It was his first encounter with a with dead rat wrapped around his sewer cleaning snake. As you can imagine it was not a pretty sight.
Being that it was our mechanics first such experience, he shared his experience with others and everyone had a light laugh. Our mechanic did not suspect anything odd with the sewer line or expect such a surprise (usually they do not expect surprises
), he took it as a normal clog with possible tree roots, since there were many trees on the front yard. He suspected something was wrong when he snaked the sewer line a few times, but every time he unclogged the sewer the water backed up again. He didn’t feel much resistance in the sewer line so was more inclined on believing the clog was due to muck or grease, but with muck and grease clogging a sewer line you can still feel the stoppage. He was determined to find out what was clogging the sewer line so he kept on trying. The sewer line itself was not more than 50ft long and the city sewer was flowing fine. There was no sign of a possible break in the line and yet, the sewer line was still clogging up after he unclogged it many time.
After snaking the sewer line a number of times without pulling back anything he finally pulled out a dead rat wrapped around his sewer snake. There was no way the rat could have come from the house side of the sewer line, since the caps on the trap were in place. Finally the clog was taken care of. The final step was to run a water test to make sure the sewer wouldn’t back up again. The water test was performed successfully without any backup.
